Responsible for some of the world's most spectacular pyrotechnic spectacles, Howard & sons present over 600 fireworks displays each year.
Most recently Howard & Sons have been awarded the Silver Jupiter by the 2008 L'International Des Feux in Montreal Canada, the inaugural Golden Merdeka by the 2007 Malaysian International Fireworks Competition as well as presenting displays of worldwide fame for Perth SkyWorks 2007/08/09, Qatar National Day 2008 and the Opening/Closing Ceremonies of 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics have over eighty six (86) years experience in the art of pyrotechnics. The famous Howard family of fireworks was ignited by Sydney Howard (Snr) back in 1922, who had left his engineering role with BHP to follow his passion for pyrotechnics. Sydney Howard worked in conjunction with a United Kingdom based firm and together they produced a fireworks display on Sydney Harbour for the Opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932.
Sydney's flare and passion was then passed onto Harry Howard and his sons Syd and Les Howard, all of whom are recognised as pioneers in the field of pyrotechnics and developed a huge range of innovative Australian pyrotechnics effects and exported them around the world including to the largest daily users of fireworks in the world Disneyland & Disneyworld.
Today the company is headed by Directors Andrew and Christian Howard the 4th generation of the Howard family, master pyrotechnicians who continue the family tradition of developing and harnessing the power and magic of colour and fire.
